EDITORIAL CIRCLE

Policy Statement
The Editorial Circle is the broadcasting and media outlet that entails the publication of monthly newsletters, and annual magazines. It is an enthusiastic and active club which aims at nurturing and channelising the creative writing and thinking skills of the student community of the Department of Languages. The Editors actively collect and collate various information as part of the repertoire team of various events that take place in the Department. 

Objectives
To bring out qualitative newsletter and magazines by attracting skilful and creative authors
To provide a platform for the students to exhibit their literary and writing skills 
To provide the students with a forum to exhibit their knowledge from varied disciplines

Approve final versions submitted of Newsletter/ Magazine/ Journal
Each month a Faculty Editor will take charge of the publishing of the newsletter
Coordinating with the Centre for Digital Learning
Student Editor 
Drafting the content for the newsletter
Writing articles for the blog
Making editorial decisions with reasonable speed and communicating them in a clear and constructive manner
Liaising with the Faculty Editor        


Outcome
The Editorial Circle will act as a broadcasting centre and a repertoire of the plethora of events organised by the department.
Student’s literary and writing abilities will be enhanced through short reports and articles written for the newsletter and magazine
Integration of diverse perspectives and expertise, resulting in more comprehensive and insightful content
Promote knowledge and experience sharing through its various publications

Welcome to the Department of Languages at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa Campus! Our Master of Arts in English with Digital Humanities programme is a pioneering blend of traditional humanities and contemporary digital perspectives, preparing students for the ever-changing world. The programme offers an advanced understanding of digital technologies in language studies, literature, and popular culture, equipping students with relevant skills for the modern era. We engage in projects like story mapping, where literature and technology converge to create immersive experiences, contributing to preserving cultural heritage through our archiving projects. The interdisciplinary nature of the programme opens up career opportunities in various fields, including technical writing, data journalism, and digital curation. With its innovative and progressive approach towards the literary field, our students will be well-prepared to navigate the digital literary landscape while utilising knowledge to not just reflect but re-shape and re-frame society.
